Yves C. MERMIER, born on the 4th of July 1959, obtained his law degree from the University of Geneva (lic.iur. 1982), then completed a traineeship in Southampton (U.K.) with DOVETON & FOGATY, Solicitors.

Admitted to the Geneva bar in 1983, Yves C. MERMIER completed a legal traineeship with the law firm René MERKT & Partners. He passed the bar exam in 1986 and pursued his career in the same firm as an associate.

In 1993, Yves C. MERMIER partnered with Pierre-Yves MONTAVON to create the law firm MONTAVON & MERMIER.

His main practice areas are commercial and civil law. One of Yves C. MERMIER’s preferred practice areas is the law of protection of children and adults.

In parallel to his work as an attorney, Yves C. MERMIER is a deputy judge with the Court of protection of adults and children of the Republic and Canton of Geneva.
